BET’s new reality show Harlem Heights will be coming to a TV near you this upcoming Monday, March 2 @10pm EST. Harlem Heights will chronicle eight African-American 20-somethings as they make their way in NYC. (Sidebar: If this is supposed to be a grown and sexy version of Baldwin Hills, I’m over it already. BET give it break, you’re no MTV and please make African-American television worth watching.)

Per, June Ambrose’s Twitter posting, “catch the premiere of Harlem Heights on BET! I will costume design it. Remember it is the first season so be easy!” After checking out BET’s website it seems that June has done her thing styling the new reality “stars” as well as including their individual styles.

The cast will include Ashlie the aspiring actress (isn’t everybody? YAWN), Briana the passionate fashionista, Bridget the Chatty Cathy (DRAMA, anyone?), Brooke (Kan-Yezzy’s EX) the go-getter, Christian the dare devil, Jason (a show fave) the dad with swag, Landon the Renaissance man, and Pierre the optimist. In their bios on BET.com they all stated that they are like family but we will see what happens when the cameras are turned on. This should be an interesting show; I hope BET does it some justice!
